sri lanka :: day two

 

 

 

 

 

On our second day in Sri Lanka we had to change our schedule, as we realised there was not enough time to hike where we wanted. 
Despite the rain we drove from Una Watuna to Mirissa, stopping by to spot the fishermen who were not on their sticks, islands with a tiny jungle on them and then just admiring the beach. 
We managed to get our trainers all wet from the waves, which were reaching the shore much faster than we expected, and tried to dry them while having a Lion - the local beer. No luck there. But the beach bar was nice. 
Spent the night in Galle, trying to find our Lonely Planet restaurant recommendation amidst the heavy rain. Never been so wet in my life. But turns out Lonely Planet does recommend cool places and we were able to dry ourselves this time and have a nice bottle of wine to end the night. 

Here's my feel good tune for this hectic week. Old but good.
