it's nice. you're in a bar. you meet john streckfous - the guy with the hello kitty pyjamas - and he introduces you to the brains behind pilotless press. 
which is even nicer, since you've been wanting to meet him forever.
and then john gives you the pilotless press book as a gift. 
which scores extra nice, since there are almost 30 left and you don't want to miss out.

it is also nice to team up with friends and have fun with your camera.

and it is great joy to have nails that stare back at you. thanks to a gorgeous friend.

a year in pictures

 i loved 2012. every single day. even the bad days turned out for the best.

starting with my mobile uploads (aka the true version of a lap dance)

* my basil and tomato plants rocked. and i made lots of home-made sauce to get me through the winter
* i finally watched all the star wars episodes
* became a model 3 times (one of which included my good friends akira mushi fw campaign)
* had my first watermelon grow in the garden
* loved tsipouro at volos
* travelled a lot around the islands
* became a pro at swimming
* had my tomatoes grow at syros as well
* used my computer too much
* imatioθiki was voted as one of the top 10 start ups at best practices forum
* shot my first lookbook
* did my first radio show with fantasmenios



but i also shot some really inspiring people and friends :)

* mr. george and his ducks
* my beautiful friend katerina, who is the most positive person i know. and she has been a great help throughout this year with her comments and excitement over whatever it is i am doing.
* olga and anna of akira mushi. the most adorable and talented girls in town.
* mr. panagiotits and his little piece of heaven on lesvos
* my first official photo shoot for ozon magazine
* eleni ilio, the master at make up
* eleni who has been the most wonderful girft throughout my blogging experience.
* a really cute guy in portugal checking out the fish
* nota, who never stops smiling and making fun of every single situation, even if it is very very bad
* my sister, who is as goofy as i am
* dimitris, one of the many amazing people i had the chance of meeting in my imatioθiki adventures
* ioanna, an aegean siren

 and, finally, i visited some pretty cool places

* lesvos in june. i thought i would get super bored. turns out the island is so beautiful, you just can't get enough.
* washington d.c. in january. i was seriously blessed to speak at the national traffic conference. will never forget this.
* lisbon in spring. some urban design and architecture that really blew my mind away.
* my dear serifos in the summer.
* spetses in june.
* ha, the bird is actually from the natural history museum in kifissia. i took my dad there last january. loved the birds.
* lisbon again.
* and again.
* and then volos skyline.
* and some more washington d.c., which is the most beautiful state i have ever visited. even prettier than new york city.
* lesvos airport, the tinniest one in the whole world.
* and, of course, beautiful syros.


its been a good blessed year. and it's just the beginning. i am sure.

millions now living, will never die

i love it when it's the end of the year and you sum up all the wonderful things you've done.

sugar all over

remember sweet ioanna? well she moved to a new apartment, she quit her job and decided to dedicate all her time on baking her gorgeous cakes - seriously, i have never tasted anything better in my whole life - and she just got back from a month in barcelona.
so i had to pay her a visit. see what she's up to. taste some of her new recipes and ask her to make a list of the top 10 best christmas recipes, which can be found here.

and you know how much ioanna loves the 50s. so i have been listening to bossa nova nova ever since. non stop.

not because his apartment is amazing, but because he is a guy that sees nature as a challenge. and he sees life as a challenge. and i have had enough of young people being lazy at cafes and always appreciate a man that makes the most out of his weekends.

rear-view mirror notes

i cannot believe how good yo la tengo sound.

been listening to their albums when driving to work each day. yes, i am the creepy lady singing as loud as possible (with the windows shut - mind you). but i can totally imagine how i look in the rear view mirror of the guy in front of me.
but then again, the other day i was watching a girl change cardigans and then have a mini facial right in her car, in front of everybody.
and then a couple of days later i saw this guy, who was totally jamming and doing air guitar and drum rolling and all in his car. he looked like he was having a real party in there. but i can't lip read. just hoping he was jamming to a cool tune and not some lame song. 
seriously now.
people do fun stuff when they get bored in their cars.

oh. the picture is about boats. large ones. and small people who work on them. small in size. big in effort and skill.  

model part 02 - milk and honey campaign

ok. i don't know how or why this happened. but i sort of became a model. for milk & honey that is. i had the honor of posing for george malekakis, who's one of the best fashion photographers in town.

but some things never change, so you can't really get me off of my vans and uber-cool casio watch. they had to be in the picture.
