the city and the river and the park (berlin part 3)

i loved the signs i found on the streets.

 and i totally started taking people of strangers on the streets. 

 and refreshing beer and wine by the river. 

 and bars by the water. 

 and suspicious cars. 

 and sticker collages on walls (and strangers again)

 and daisies that come out of the blue. or out of the deck. 

 and taking pictures of friends napping at the park - no stranger here. i am not that strange.

and right now i am loving this song. i am in a much happier mood, but the song is still nice. 

city flora (berlin part 2)

 i will be not the first and not the last to comment on the city's flora. in unexpected places and apartment building's common gardens. 

 watching over your bike 

 showing you the way to the water

 testing the pond

 witnessing somebody's decision to stop smoking

 and last night's party


or just envying the outdoors and looking through the windows. 
 

the song has to be sigur ros. i have been listening to it all morning. 

ode to the berliner tourist (berlin part 1)

i have so many pictures of beautiful berlin to share with you. 
i was lucky to have the best guide around town, nota, who was there on business.
my feet hurt so much. but it was so worth it.
here is berlin part one. an ode to the city's tourists.

i went to berlin. and i have many many pictures to share.

but this will have to wait until next week.

till then, it's all about italy. i am very happy to be collaborating with peroni greece and doing a small tribute to italian design through imatiothiki.

another point of view

this saturday we decided to see the city from another point of view. so we drove south to megara and hopped on a plane. 

my dad did most of the flying. that's on my to do list. learn to fly a plane. you never know what life brings you. 

what i realized is that roads look a lot cooler from the sky and their curves look a lot more appealing than when you are in your car. also, i figured there's a lot of people living in athens. the place is packed.

i also made a mental note to have a swimming pool in the house i will build for my grown up self one day. swimming pools look cool. both from above and when you are in one.  

but the beach is also nice. especially if you come across old boats like these.  

or a floating playground like the one pictured below.  










so, yes, it is a matter of perspective. it just happens to be that i am spending most of my time on the ground level and i need much more time flying up above.

i needed a stranger

and i needed a complete stranger to tell me that i don't promote myself enough and i don't take my work too seriously.

i need a stranger. still can't get it out of my head.

still can't believe i am almost thirty (i said almost), and i don't know who i am and what i am worth.
