lucky number 4

this blog became 4 years old this weekend.

(i am counting the ni.ko wordpress days as well)

my sister became 30 this weekend.

i became happy, i officially became an experienced dancer,

and about half a kilo heavier due to a two layer peanut butter birthday cake i made for her.

my armor

so, the other day i visited a fight club. and did a whole session for imatiothiki, which you can find here. and i wrote a small piece for lifo, which you can find here.

what was really interesting is the way the fighters were preparing themselves to train. their gloves and special shoes and warm up and teeth protection.

and then i thought to myself: 'that's an interesting way to get yourself ready for a fight'. because we all fight. we fight ourselves, we fight what life brings our way, we fight our will and our anxiety, we fight our enemies, whether they are visible or not. 

so i stand firm in my armor.

¹⁴ Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, ¹⁵ and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. ¹⁶ In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. ¹⁷ Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

a post to vivian

each post starting my year is a small gift to my gracious friend vivian.

this one aims to show her that the past year, even though sometimes it has been hard, or sad, and it might have taken her to places she didn't expect to be found in, it was a good year.

and it was a good year indeed.

because she put her trust in God and took small steps of faith that had giant impact on others.

and that is that is why, this picture, vivian is to show you that the past was good, but you are going somewhere better.
