showing off dubai

Spent the last week showing off Dubai to Nikoleta who was visiting from Greece. It's nice to get to show off the city you live in. You get to love it a bit more. 

Pictures are randomly shot at: the Dubai museum, Bastakyia neighbourhood, Atlantis Aquadventure - with lots of excitement & a lot of sweat. 

I love you Dubai, but your heat is unbearable at times. 

serifos :: platys gialos & dyo gialoudia

 

 

It's been almost a week since I got back from Serifos and I am still trying to get used to the fact that I am not there. This time we did a bit of exploring on parts of the islands we don't often go to like Platys Gialos, where we stopped for some coffee and ended up having ouzo and meze. After that we tested our 4x4 rental on Dyo Gialoudia beach, where we failed boldly and ended up getting stuck in the sand four times. Thank God for a group of friends who showed up on the beach right before we were ready to call a helicopter or something equally strong to pull us out and lent us a helping had. Now it's just me, scrolling down Facebook watching everyone else enjoying Serifos. But that's ok. I guess.
