[imatioθi<k>i] turned 1 yesterday.

when i started it, i had no idea i would have so much fun, meet so many talented people and make new friends. this is a true blessing, i tell you. i can't wait to see what's next.

also, i intend to start spending my afternoons walking around my beautiful city. i miss walking and it seems like reading has been taking up most of my time.

now i have to run pack my bathing suit, as i have serious intentions of spending my weekend doing a large amount of nothing and getting a pretty neat tan on my skin.

i feel grateful. because i have a true friend, who in the midst of crisis becomes a brave woman and a woman of faith. and it is very sad to have unfortunate events happen in our lives, but this is who we are. we can get broken, we can get sick, we can get lonely and we can get fragile. but my friend, vivian, sees through the crisis and becomes an example of courage, dignity and honor. and today i feel sad. but most importantly i feel proud and blessed, for i have a true friend who i can depend on and who can also depend on me. and i admire her for who she is. life is way too short. and i promise myself i will cherish each moment i share with my loved ones.

coming up on imatioθiki this week, a special someone, who agreed to go completely mad with her outfits!

i have been thinking about clothes a lot lately (how intellectual of me).  

whenever i have an imatioθiki session i am always pointing out all the vibrant prints and really loud pieces for the girl to wear. and i always love the final outcome. but my closet seems so full of plain whites and blacks and blues. somehow the styling does not work on me. 

oh well, i should stick to my gardening instead. i am having about 50 tomato plants on my garden growing as we speak. if each plant gives me about 20... then do the math!

i feel diverse. happy and sad. good enough and bad enough. and that is confusing.

i also have not slept properly for about a year now. that is becoming more than confusing.

which was a truly fun experience, which i am hoping to live again.

a big thanks to george who said that a good photographer is beyond his equipment and gadgets (really took the stress off and i intend to quote him a lot) and to george who really helped me with my first studio session and my camera settings.

blue nostalgia

today i read this wonderful post by sophia. she has this amazing blog that manages to keep a good balance between amazing images and inspiring text. 
so i started thinking about nostalgia... and i am at a point in my life where i mostly feel nostlagic about the things i am anticipating. i know it makes no sense, but not everything in life does.
but nostalgia somehow brings in mind my favorite color, blue. strange i guess. 
so, as i am spending yet another week burried in my reading and working and image editing, i searched my computer for some nostalgia and some good amount of blue.
and i came up with these two pictures. the first is a building (i don't know by whom, it was right next to the aquarium in lisboa - i should know better as an architect) which just makes me happy by looking at it. it really does. it's from a simple material and it has a simple color. and that's just fine.
the second is angela's amazing jacket, which i thought would look great next to her garden plants, so i just took it out of the closet and hang it on a bush and took a picture of it. and that's just fine as well.

as for some news, i will be shooting for the first time in my life a proper fashion editorial, with a real model (chosen by mois) and hair and make-up and studio and all for OZON magazine, in association with Effex, along with kostas (who is a total professional, which i am not) and another photographer this saturday. i am super excited and gratefull :)

happy mom and dad's day

i am officially calling this mother and father's day. 

because my life would never be the same without mom nor dad (nor the sun, the sea and nutella....)

this week is going to be so exciting. can't wait to share with you my latest imatioθiki adventures!

eleni and i were invited to get a sneak peak of hogan's and tods' a/w 2012-2013 collection and i have to say i am in love with all their shoes!

is it okay that i found the men's shoes also super stylish and wouln't mind wearing them?

above you can see eleni kindly posing for me. i am telling you, i would be in those shoes and i would be the one refusing to take them off, but they were all too small for my big feet. (not that i am abnormal or anything, it goes with height people).

so, you can see eleni posing with martha, who works at hogan. and then the super stylish girl in front of the jackets someone will be giving to me as a gift this winter is elisa roncolato, straight from the hogan headquarters in milan.

i am such a lazy person. i promised myself i would take my camera wherever i went for may 1rst.

but ended up leaving it at home. had an amazing time thought. i hang out with a friend at a park. 

seems like we are too busy to hang at parks and just talk nowadays. i am grateful for my friends. and parks. 

i also feel like a very very old person. i had a student email me, requesting help for her dissertation. it was all very polite and preppy. and i am the tutor. suposedly.

ps. how cool are my pants? i hate the fact that i will have to spend the whole summer just looking at them hanging in my closet.
